James Ivory

James Ivory is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter who has won six Academy Awards. A Room with a View (1986), Maurice (1987), Howards End (1992), and The Remains of the Day are among his films (1993). The filmmaking team was already established when The Remains of the Day was released in 1993. And for their 1996 film Surviving Picasso, Ivory and the team were nominated for a third time for best director by the Academy. James became the oldest recipient of a competitive BAFTA on February 18, 2018, when Ivory was 89 years old. Similarly, on March 4, 2018, at the age of 89, he became the oldest person to win an Academy Award. In addition, with Call Me by Your Name, James was the oldest Oscar winner ever with a screenplay prize. He has also been nominated for and won a number of accolades for his work.
