Brandt William Jobe, better known as Brandt Jobe, was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on August 1, 1965. He is currently 56 years old and a United States citizen. Brandt Jobe was a part of the 1988 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship squad while at UCLA. In the same year, he began his professional career. He dominated the Canadian Tour order of merit in 1990. In addition, he qualifies for the PGA Tour in 1991 through Qualifying School, but only makes five cuts that year. In 1995, he won the Asia Golf Circuit Order of Merit during one of his few inconsistent seasons. He also establishes a name for himself on the Japan Golf Tour, where he won six tournaments between 1995 and 1999.
Brandt Jobe returned to the PGA Tour as a special temporary member in September 1999. He has continued to play on a regular basis despite a freak accident in his garage. He had extensive hand and wrist surgery after slashing his hand and injuring three fingers with a shattered push broom in 2003. On the PGA Tour, he has never won a tournament, although he has tied for second four times, including twice in 2005 while competing on a significant medical exemption.
On the 2010 Nationwide Tour, he finished 30th, but that wasn’t enough to get him a PGA Tour card. Despite this, he was spared from Q School’s final stage, where he placed sixth and obtained his 2011 card.
