• Adley Rutschman attended Sherwood High School and was drafted in the 40th round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. He did, however, attend Oregon State University and play baseball for the Beavers.
• He was a placekicker as a freshman, appearing in 61 games and hitting.234/.322/.306 with two home runs and 33 runs batted in (RBI). After that, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Falmouth Commodores.
