Early Years

Dinamo Zagreb

Vedran, a former player for Manchester City, demonstrated his strength and talent while playing for Dinamo and remained constant in his output. Although the transfer fee was not made public, the Croatian media has estimated that it was close to £8 million.

Zimbio Vedran was a great player from the beginning, and he may have used his consistency in the premier league to secure a starting spot. Tottenham Hotspur

Vedran’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur was made public on September 1st, 2008. The six-year agreement was written for a cost of £5.5 million. Vedran suffered serious injuries on October 19 during the game against Stoke City after teammate Heurelho Gomes kneed him under the chin. After being rendered unconscious for ten minutes on the field, he was taken directly to the hospital. A significant injury from the accident was not reported.Vedran finished second in the League Cup finals against Manchester United on March 1, 2009, and was awarded a medal for his achievements. Vedran scored Tottenham’s sole penalty and his first of the shootout in the team’s loss on penalties.

Bayer Leverkusen

Bundesliga club in Germany Vedran joined Bayer Leverkusen in January 2012 for the balance of the 2011–2012 campaign, with a buyout clause. On February 4, Vedran made his club debut, playing the entire 90 minutes in a 2-2 tie with VfB Stuttgart. He only played once in the Champions League for the team, setting up Michal Kadlec’s game-tying cross. In the final minute, Danny da Costa came on to replace him. Barcelona defeated the team 3-1 in the game.

Vedran played his final game for the team on May 5 against FC Nurnberg, which the team won 4-1. Striker Stefan KieBling of Leverkusen scored three goals in all. Despite having the option to buy out his contract, the club was unable to exercise it before the season ended. Financial constraints were given as the justification for choosing not to pursue the option.

Lokomotiv Moscow

On June 27, 2012, Lokomotiv Moscow made the announcement that it had acquired Corluka from Tottenham for £5.5 million. He signed the contract for a three-year period after his physical examination went well. Vedran continued to perform admirably for the team.

In September 2012, March 2014, and December 2014, Vedran was voted the greatest club player of the month by Loko followers on social media. In 2015, Vedran helped his side win the Russian Cup, and the club’s supporters elected him the team’s Player of the Year.

International Career

Vedran represented Croatia’s under-21 team and has since moved up to the senior national team. On August 16, 2006, he played against Italy in a friendly to make his senior debut. He made his debut when he was 20 years old.

He was introduced in the second half, and the critics were also appeased by his competent performance against the opposition. At 2-0, Croatia prevailed in the game. Vedran was one of the most important players for Croatia throughout the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying campaign. Croatia won Group E of the competition, finishing first, ahead of Russia and England. Vedran, along with Modric and Rakitic, was included in the 32-man roster for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which is taking place in Russia.

Regarding his private life and relationships, Vedran Corluka is currently 32 years old and neither married nor engaged. Right now, Corluka is fully committed to his lovely partner Franka Bateli.
