Report: Rob Gronkowski Recently Contacted Buccaneers About Potential Return
Around Thanksgiving, the Bucs spoke with Gronkowski many times about the possibility of him teaming with quarterback Tom Brady to aid the struggling team in securing a playoff berth.
Stroud gives precise information about the communications that took place between Gronk and the Bucs in the piece.
“The Bucs were informed that Gronkowski had been exercising. Although they were eager to add him to the active roster, he and the team talked about a number of options, including bringing the 33-year-old to the practice squad to give him some time to get back into football form.”

Then comes the killer.
Finally, Gronkowski made the decision to postpone his comeback.
Todd Bowles, the head coach of the Buccaneers, stated that he had a conversation with Gronkowski, but he only viewed it as a talk.
Coach Todd Bowles of the Buccaneers remarked, “It was more of a dialogue than anything else.” “Normally, you generally don’t want to play when you have to think about playing. I didn’t give it much thought when it was merely a conversation at the time.
The Buccaneers are still clinging to their position at the top of the NFC South despite their offensive woes this year. And with the defense playing at at a high level, it actually feels like Gronk’s presence in the lineup could release another element that the team — and his former quarterback, Tom Brady — desperately need.
Which ultimately makes Stroud’s article a little discouraging for Bucs supporters.
the moment. the athlete. The whole situation seems like it would have been ideal. But it appears like Rob Gronkowski won’t be joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their final drive to secure a postseason berth, at least not right away.
