She was selected the British Woman Kart Racing Driver of the Year for the third straight season for her efforts during the 1998 campaign.  After placing 34th overall in the Formula “A” World Championships during the 1999 season, she earned the British Woman Kart Racing Driver of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year. Following her 15th-place result in the Formula “A” World Championships, she was crowned the Best Female Kart Driver in the World in 2000. In 2001, she transitioned from kart racing to single-seater racing. In 2001, while participating for the Motaworld Racing team, she gained her first exposure to the Formula Renault Winter Series. For the 2008 season, she joined Persson Motorsport after leaving Muckee Motorsport. At the Norisring in June, she achieved her best performance of the year by placing tenth. In the 2010 season, she finished fifth at the Hockenheimring. She quit the DTM in 2012 to become a development driver for the Williams Formula One team. She became the first woman to take part in a Formula One weekend since Giovanna Amati’s three unsuccessful attempts to qualify for the Grand Prix in 1992. Also, She finished the British Grand Prix practice in 13th place with a decent time of 1:37:242. She declared her intention to leave Formula One in November 2015. She stopped participating in all motorsports. In 2006, she began working as an ambassador for Mercedes.
