Shania Twain on performing with Harry Styles: ‘One of the highlights of my career’
The pop artist and country music star Shania Twain have a bond that has helped the former help the latter come full circle.
After Shania Twain appeared on TODAY in preparation of her upcoming album “Queen Of Me,” fans of the legendary country singer were treated to a whole morning with her.
Along with dancing to her most recent single, “Giddy Up,” with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, Twain also discussed the fashion trends she has influenced over the years and even prepared a vegetarian mushroom bolognese with chef Éric Ripert.
The five-time Grammy winner discusses the current chapter in her illustrious career in a sit-down interview with TODAY.com, as well as how she feels about hitting the road again after a five-year layoff.
“I can’t wait to see everyone again and perform my newest music. I’m eager to accomplish that “Twain describes her upcoming “Queen Of Me” tour, which begins in April.
According to her, there is a new, exciting vibe surrounding the whole event. “I’m looking forward to the rehearsals and working on how to make those songs come to life,” she tells TODAY.com.

The 57-year-old singer has lately made headlines for her topless cover photo for her single “Waking Up Dreaming,” which was taken in December.
Twain revealed to Hoda on TODAY that she decided to go nude in an effort to feel stronger, more self-assured, and more at ease in her own flesh.
It’s time to stop being ashamed or shy of who you are, Mark Twain remarked. “This is who I am, and it’s time to start loving myself in my own skin and genuinely accepting it.”
At the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, Twain also made news when she slyly changed the words to her hit song “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” replacing the name of Brad Pitt with Ryan Reynolds, a spectator.
Performing with Harry Styles at Coachella
When Twain performed two of her biggest singles on stage with Harry Styles at Coachella last April, she drove fans into overdrive “Man! “You’re Still The One!” and “I Feel Like A Woman!” “the pop musician.
Twain describes how the famous performance came about as a result of a backstage encounter following one of Styles’ performances, calling it “one of the highlights of my career.”

When I initially met him, “he was just really on his way up,” she claims.
Twain calls Styles “kind” and claims that the musician revealed to her that he grew to love her music after listening to it with his mother when he was a child. Styles told Twain, “I love (my mom) for that, because I love your music,
Then he made a request. Would Twain be prepared to contact his mother on her birthday to wish her a happy birthday?
Twain concurred. They started texting each other and grew close.
He invited me to the Coachella show, and we have remained in touch ever since, according to Twain. It really seems like we’ve known each other for a very long time since we get along so well.
Coming Full circle
Twain tells TODAY.com that their Coachella performance and shared adoration point to something greater than just her connection with Styles.
He belongs to the group of children who, 25, 30, years ago, were in the audience at ages 4, 5, and 6, she says.
Now that they are old enough to talk for themselves, they may visit me without their parents and express their enthusiasm for my music and gratitude to me for inspiring them.
Twain claims that the experience is satisfying.
To still be doing this and receive their genuine gratitude is really gratifying for me.
