Oakleigh Klover Hayes was the beautiful daughter of Walker Hayes, a popular pop-country singer and songwriter, and Laney Beville Hayes. Unfortunately, the newborn child died as a result of an unanticipated medical event.

Death Cause of Oakleigh Klover Hayes
Laney went into labor at her Nashville home on June 6, 2018, and was taken to a nearby hospital because the baby’s heartbeat was weakening.
The doctor immediately ordered an emergency C-section when they arrived at the hospital. Laney underwent two hours of life-threatening surgery.
Laney claims Walker was terrified because the surgery took so long. Laney’s uterus ruptured during surgery, cutting off her child’s blood supply and killing her from suffocation.
Laney survived the incident and recovered from her physical injuries. It took her a long time to recover from the emotional trauma of losing a child.

After canceling his CMT appearance, Mr. Hayes was forced to publicly announce the death of his beloved daughter. He used Instagram to announce the death of his daughter Oakleigh.
“It is with great sadness that Laney and I inform you that our sweet Oakleigh Klover Hayes was born this morning at the hospital and is now safely in heaven,” they said.
He added,
“Thank you for honoring our privacy as we grieve.”
Friends and Family Reaction
Messages and expressions of sorrow and loss were sent to the couple by their neighbors, as well as his entire family and friends.
Walker said,
“Laney and I have cried a lot,” “But one thing that makes me the happiest is how much love there has been around us. We’ve had the most remarkable questions answered and advice given from people around our neighborhood and in meet-and-greet lines. People walk up to me and tell me their life, and it’s like, geez, thank you for sharing. I don’t even know these people.”
