Wasps

Danny Cipriani began his professional career by enrolling in the Wasps Academy in 2003. Prior to beginning to make more frequent appearances for the first team in 2007, when Wasps won the 2007 Heineken Cup Final, he first played for the Wasps under-21 team and Wasps A team.

On October 6, 2008, he got into a brawl on the practice field with club and international teammate Josh Lewsey, but on May 18, 2009, when playing for Wasps against Bat in the semi-final play-off, he fractured and dislocated his right ankle. Melbourne Rebels

International Career

He was a member of the Saxons team that won the Churchill Cup at Twickenham in 2007, however he narrowly missed being chosen for England’s 2007 Rugby World Cup squad. When he was selected at fullback for the match against Scotland on March 8, 2008, he was set to make his England starting debut. He started the England vs. Ireland game on March 15, 2008, taking Jonny Wilkinson’s place at fly-half. On July 1st, 2008, he was named to the England Saxons team.
