As head coach at Alabama, Mark faced his former school twice. Similarly, he was the head coach at Murray State University from 1995 to 1998, compiling a 68-24 overall record.
Murray State advanced to the NCAA tournament in 1997 and 1998, and he made the NIT in his first season there in 1996.
