On August 22, 2023, at the age of 36, Landon Skinner abruptly died away. He was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was on his way to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church (WMUMC) in Farmville when he was killed in an automobile accident in Pitt County, North Carolina. The paramedics declared him dead on the spot.

Robert and Linda Skinner welcomed Landon Skinner into the world on June 15, 1987 in Greenville, North Carolina. He and his two sisters, Ashley and Megan, were raised in a household that was devoted to and supportive of them. He excelled in both academics and athletics when a student at D.H. Conley High School. He participated in baseball, basketball, and football. He received a full scholarship at East Carolina University and graduated with honors in 2005.

At WMUMC, a funeral service for Landon will be place on Saturday, August 26 at 11:00. Rev. Jane Doe and Rev. John Smith will officiate the service. The funeral service will be followed by interment at Greenville’s Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will host visitors at the Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the WMUMC Youth Ministry Fund or the ECU Gospel Choir Scholarship Fund.
