She also competed for Japan in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, where she became the first player to win both the gold and bronze medals in the 3×3 and 5×5 events. Mawuli won the MVP award at the 2019 World Championship in Lanzhou, China, where she captained the Japanese women’s national under-23 3×3 squad.
