During a closed-door meeting on March 4, Theresa pulled Keith’s resume from a packet of four candidates and told city council members that she did so because he was black and the city was not prepared for it. Keith was, in fact, a highly qualified candidate for the position of City Administrator.
The AJC, on the other hand, shows Thomas’ emails with the other five officers, in which they decide to keep Kennerly in the hiring process but not give her any decision-making power. Furthermore, the people are calling for Theresa’s resignation.
