Marriage looks great on actress Mary McCormack right now. But who could forget the disastrous time when McCormack’s husband, Michael Morris, cheated on her by kissing the much younger actress, Katharine McPhee?
Mary McCormack, the blonde beauty known for her outstanding performances in films and television shows such as Murder One and In Plain Sight, has been married to her husband, Michael Morris, for nearly two decades. While the couple’s married life appears to be going well, for the time being, it can’t be said that everything is always sunshine and rainbows.
How much is the net worth of Mary McCormack?
Mary McCormack is a $5 million dollars net worth American actress. Mary McCormack was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and attended Trinity College, where she earned a degree in Comparative Arts with a concentration in painting and creative writing. She made her professional acting debut while still in elementary school, in a regional production of “Amahl and the Night Visitors.” She continued to appear in theater productions until the mid-1990s when she began adding film and television credits to her resume. Her television credits include “Law & Order,” “Murder One,” “ER,” and “The West Wing.” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “Deep Impact,” “Mystery, Alaska,” “Gun Shy,” “K-PAX,” and “For Your Consideration” are among her film credits. She is best known for her starring role in the television series “In Plain Sight.” She was most recently seen on the short-lived series “Welcome to the Family.”
Was Mary McCormack’s 2003 marriage to Michael Morris a mistake?
Mary McCormack’s marriage was rocked ten years later when her long-term husband, none other than Michael Morris, cheated on her loyal wife with the ten years younger actress, Katharine McPhee, who was still legally married to his ex-husband, Nick Cokas.
The In Plain Sight alum, for which she received a Prism Award nomination for her portrayal of Mary Shannon, married Mr. Morris, a film director, on July 5, 2003, and everything went as planned until 2013, of course.
McCormack was spotted publicly and passionately kissing McPhee, one of the cast members of his NBC-directed tv show, Smash, which was canceled after the premiere of its second season in October 2013.
On the other hand, it has already been revealed that McCormack and Morris had been living separately and only visited each other on weekends, which makes it easy to blame the director’s infidelity while being the father of three young children; Margaret Morris, Rose Morris, and Lillian Morris.
Much power to Howard Stern, who was suspicious and doubtful of the actress’s partner when he learned of the information, and even compared Mary to Sandra Bullock’s cheating allegation, in which Bullock’s then-husband Jesse James cheated on her while Bullock was away from home filming Blind Side.
So, did McCormack forgive Morris after her husband’s alleged adultery?
Despite committing such a heinous act, Mary was able to forgive her husband (lucky dude). In fact, Mary and Michael were photographed together in a parking lot, and just a few days later, Michael and Katharine’s kissing photos made headlines.
In terms of the photographs, McCormack attempted to purchase them in order to preserve his clean image in the eyes of the public, but the damage had already been done. Mary, on the other hand, did not immediately accept her cheating husband into her life, as evidenced by the photos in which the couple maintained an awkward distance between the two.
Aside from that, the couple spent several months apart in different homes before reconciling their marriage in 2014. Not to mention, McCormack evicted Michael from their home shortly after discovering the infidelity.
Mary and Michael celebrated their sixteenth wedding anniversary today, nearly five years after the incident.
