Abiy Ahmed Ali, better known as Abiy Ahmed, was born on August 15, 1976 in Beshasha, Kaffa Province, Ethiopia. He is 46 years old and of Ethiopian nationality, according to his birth date.

Abiy Ahmed was a member of the Oromo Democratic Party (ODP) who participated in the uprising against Mengistu Haile Mariam’s dictatorship before receiving official military training from the Assefa Brigade and was assigned to the communications and intelligence department in West Wollega.
From 1993 to 1995, he served in the Ethiopian Defense Forces before joining the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Rwanda. He co-founded INSA, Ethiopia’s Information Network Security Agency, in 2008, and served in a variety of roles, including acting director for two years. He remained a member of the Defense Forces.
