Vince McMahon reportedly making major moves to regain power in WWE

Vince McMahon is trying to recover his influence after leaving WWE. McMahon notified the WWE Board of Directors that he is choosing himself and former WWE executives George Barrios and Michelle Wilson, according to the Wall Street Journal. The paper states that three directors must resign to reinstall Mr. McMahon and others. McMahon, who still holds majority voting power, told the WWE Board of Directors that he will not accept any media-rights transaction or corporate sale without his direct involvement.

“The only way WWE can properly capitalize on this potential is for me to return as Executive Chairman and support the management team in media rights negotiations and a strategic alternatives study. WWE and any transaction counterparties will know they have the support of the controlling shareholder when I return. WallStreetJournal.com has more.
