Molinaro studied acting and appeared on the sitcoms ‘Biwitched,’ ‘Get Smart,’ ‘Green Acres,’ and ‘That Girl’ as a guest star. On the television sitcom ‘The Odd Couple,’ he played police officer Murray greater.

Molinaro and Anson Williams started a dinner franchise called ‘Big Al’s,’ but it failed. In the one-season television series “The Family Man,” he played grandfather Joe Alberghetti. He was ecstatic with his part on ‘Happy Days.’ From 1985 through 2008, he appeared as a guest on the ‘Don and Mike Show.’ In Weezer’s 1994 music video for the song ‘Buddy Holly,’ he recreated his role as Al Delvecchio from ‘Happy Days.’ In 1992, he participated on ABC’s “Happy Days Reunion Special.” He stopped performing in television and movies in the early 1990s, but he continued to appear in ads until the early 2000s. In 2004, he declared that he will write a book on his childhood in Kenosha and his acting career.

He died on October 30, 2015, at the age of 96, in a hospital in Glendale, California, following complications from an infected gallbladder. He was survived by his wife, son, and three grandchildren. Grand View Memorial Park and Crematory was where he was laid to rest.
