Alfred Charles Sharpton, better known by his stage name Al Sharpton, is an American Baptist clergyman, politician, civil rights activist, and talk-show presenter. He is the host of the radio show “Keeping It Real.” He has also been on several television shows and news networks, including Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC, to discuss a variety of topics, including politics, religion, and civil rights.

He became the host of the MNBC television show “Politics Nation” in 2011. Early Life and Biography

Al Sharpton was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 3, 1954, to Ada (mother) and Alfred Charles Sharpton Sr (father). He was born in Brownsville, Brooklyn, and grew up with Cherokee ancestors. He began preaching as a toddler, and at the age of four, he delivered his first sermon. When his mother divorced Alfred, he stayed with his mother, who went on to date Sharpton’s half-sister. Ada became a maid to help support the family because the family was unable to meet their basic demands. Her income was insufficient, so she asked for social assistance.
