He started pursuing a music career professionally in the early ’90s, performing at clubs in Milan. In 1991, she contributed to the vocals on the album “Un’altra strada” by the singer-songwriter Massimiliano Cattapani from Genoa.
He became a backup singer for various artists, including Eros Ramazzotti, Ivana Spagna (on the album “Siamo in due” in 1995), Francesco Baccini, and Rossana Casale. Alex Baroni’s Parents, Carlo was a physicist and her mother Marina was a mathematician. His parents instilled in him and his younger brother Guido (both born on December 22, but in 1968) a love of science. In fact, Alex graduated in chemistry from the University of Milan and spent several years as a chemistry teacher in public and private technical institutes before embarking on his musical career, whereas Guido graduated in mechanical engineering and obtained a chair at the Polytechnic University of Milan’s Department of Electronics, Information, and Bioengineering.
Alex displayed an instinctive enthusiasm for music from a very young age; he began to pursue this passion at the age of 17, when a motorbike accident confined him to bed for an entire year, for which he also threatened paralysis. At the end of his long hospital stay, he took singing lessons from Luca Jurman, formed a group with some friends. And began to perform in various clubs in Milan, proposing covers of funk, soul, and blues songs composed by both American and Italian artists, most notably Pino Daniele.
