Alex began driving karts in 2003 and won the WSK Euro Series championship in 2012. Similarly, in 2014, he made his open-wheel racing debut and finished third in the championship standings after winning a race at the Hungaroring. Alex moved to Campos Racing’s GP3 Series in 2015. He beat Abu Dabhi to win his GP3 race at the Yas Marina Circuit, becoming the first Spanish driver to do so in the series’ history.
