Alexander Ludwig, a Canadian actor, and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child after suffering numerous losses. On February 11, the 30-year-old actor posted a mirror image of the couple cuddling Lauren’s growing baby bump while their dog, Yam, sat next to them on the couch.
The actor also added an extensive caption that read:
“It’s been a long journey, and we wanted to wait until things looked positive this time.”
The expected birth date was given as May 2023.

On December 16, 1991, Lauren Ludwig was born in Canada. She founded THEIR, a company that produces repurposed, gender-neutral jewelry, according to her Instagram feed. She supervised marketing initiatives for Los Angeles-based luxury products and jewelry company VRAI. In July 2020, Alexander Ludwig and Lauren revealed their relationship on Instagram. In November of that same year, the Hunger Games actor proposed, and they later got hitched. They got married in The Lodge, a church north of Salt Lake City, in December 2020.
Alexander Ludwig shared the information on Instagram, writing:
“We made the decision to elope. It’s been a tumultuous year, but it’s definitely put things in perspective. Life is too short, and I didn’t want to go another day without being able to name this beautiful lady my wife.”

Alexander Ludwig said that the pair had previously experienced three miscarriages in an Instagram post announcing their pregnancy, adding that “each of those losses taught us about ourselves and each other.” There is light on the other side of your trip, they did assure miscarriage victims, and they are not alone. In May 2022, Lauren revealed in an open Instagram post that the couple had lost a third pregnancy.
“Last week, @alexanderludwig and I had our third miscarriage. I chose to share since I don’t believe it’s a disgrace to speak about it. I want to let people understand how frequent miscarriages are and that they are not anything to be ashamed of.”
She continued by stating that although while it is common, “it’s not spoken about nearly enough” after experiencing such a horrific loss.
“Perhaps if more of us spoke about these things, we’d feel less alone and at fault. I believe that knowledge is power, and I want to start sharing more of it.”
