Anita Padilla is an American anchor and reporter who has won multiple Emmys for being one of Chicago’s most dependable and trusted reporters.
As an intern at WBBM-TV, she began her career as a journalist in the news industry. In addition, she worked at WFTV in Orlando, Florida. Anita won her first Emmy in 1995 for her coverage of a murderer’s armed robbery and carjacking in Orlando. She began her career as a news reporter for Fox Broadcasting in 1995 but left to work for WMAQ channel five in Chicago.
It didn’t take long for Anita to win her second Emmy for her coverage of the New Year’s Eve Millennium celebration piece, which helped propel her to the pinnacle of her career. She returned to Fox News in May 2007 and has since worked for Anchor Good Day Chicago.

Anta had a one-of-a-kind love life. She met her now-husband, Tom, a police officer, back in the 1990s in Florida, after beginning her career in the news industry. Back then, Tom was a divorced man with a son from his first marriage, Ryan. Tom quickly became friends with Anita, and they both fell for each other’s charms. They eventually married on August 14, 1996, in Matangi Island, Fiji.

Throughout her childhood and adolescence, Anita Padilla was relocated to various locations such as Orlando, Florida, and New York City. She received her education at Madison Area Technical College and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she majored in general studies.
Anita’s interest in journalism and news began at a young age, as her father was a news junkie who spent most of his time watching or reading the news. She gradually developed an interest in reporting and journalism, which led her to enroll at Columbia College Chicago. She earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University.
