Annie Guest

Annie Guest is an American dance director and the adoptive daughter of Jamie Lee Curtis, a well-known American actress, author, and activist.

Net worth:

Annie’s net worth is estimated to be $700,000 as of July 2020, according to authoritative sources.

Early Life and Family:

Jamie Lee Curtis and British-American Christopher Guest, a musician, comedian, screenwriter, and director, adopted Annie Guest on December 13, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is one of two children adopted by Jamie Lee Curtis and British-American Christopher Guest, a musician, comedian, screenwriter, and director. After learning from their doctors that they would be unable to bear children owing to infertility, they made the decision to adopt. Annie was born into an open adoption, which meant that both her biological and adoptive parents were upfront about the adoption.

Thomas, her brother, was adopted nine years later through a closed adoption in which key circumstances of the adoption were kept secret.

Her adoptive parents’ bloodlines were outstanding on both sides. Christopher, her father, is currently the 5th Baron Haden-Guest of the Great Saling in the County of Essex in England. Christopher William Graham Guest, her grandfather, was a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary and a member of the UK House of Lords. When the older Christopher died, her father received the title and routinely attended the UK’s upper body of Parliament until a new rule – the House of Lords Act 1999 – made it illegal to utilize peerage to gain a seat in the House of Lords.

Although her father retains the title, he is no longer a member of the English parliament. She and her brother are also ineligible to inherit the English title due to their adoption; their adoptive uncle is next in line.

Jamie Lee, Annie’s mother, is a descendant of Hollywood royalty. Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, her grandparents, were both famous performers who received numerous acting nominations during their careers. Her grandfather was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1958’s “The Defiant One,” and her grandmother was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in “Psycho,” a cinematic adaptation of one of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic novels.

Because her mother had a strained connection with her grandfather, she only met him when she was two years old. For a time when Jamie was growing up, Tony was an absentee parent.

Annie grew up in Hollywood under the watchful eye of the press, as her mother took her to film shoots and red carpet events on a regular basis. Her mother starred in a number of popular films, including the Halloween franchise (1978, 1981, 1998, 2002, 2018), for which she was dubbed “Scream Queen,” “True Lies” (1994) with Arnold Swarzenegger, “Forever Young” (1992) with Mel Gibson, and “Freaky Friday” (2003) with Lindsay Lohan.

Her father may not have been as well-known as her mother, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a talented artist.

In 1976, Christopher won a Primetime Emmy Award for “The Lily Tomlin Special” for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Special. In 2003, he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture or Other Visual Media for the song “A Mighty Wind.”

Annie’s passion in dance began when she was three years old, and no one was surprised by it. Her artistic nature was enticed by the fact that she had two successful parents in the arts. When she was eight years old, her parents saw her talent and enrolled her in the “MNR Dancing Factory,” a dance school. She began teaching others to dance at the age of 16, and she went on to compete in numerous dance competitions both locally and internationally, winning numerous awards.

Background in Education:

Her primary and secondary education are unknown, but she graduated from Kenyon College in Los Angeles, California in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a major in Dance.

Career:

Annie returned to MNR Dance Factory after college. She is currently the company’s Team Director and teaches classes in a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, jazz, tap, and modern. Prior to working at MNR Dance Factory, she taught dance at Archer School for Girls, Paul Revere Middle School, and Windward School, according to her previous bio.

Personal Life:

Only family and close friends were present during Annie’s wedding to Jason Wolf on July 28, 2019, at their 1920s refurbished Spanish Colonial family home in California.

Except for her mother’s celebratory post on her Instagram account, it was a private wedding with no details released to the public. The pair is very secretive and keeps a low profile. Her most recent public appearance was in 2018, when she and the rest of her family attended the premiere of her mother’s film “Halloween.” Her mother, who never overshares, fully understands her children’s desire for seclusion. Only a few images from Jamie’s tens of thousands on Instagram depict the complete family.

As of mid-2020, Anne and her husband had no children.

Appearance:

Anne stands at a height of 5ft 10ins (1.77m) and weighs roughly 138lbs (62kgs). She has long brown hair and brown eyes and is Caucasian.

Hobbies, favorite things and interesting facts

  • She gives dancing lessons to people with special needs, such as autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and those with motor/developmental disabilities.
  • While she doesn’t have any interest being in front of the camera, she doesn’t have any problem working behind it. In the movie, “For Your Consideration,” which her father directed, she worked as a set staff assistant.
  • She earned the title of the best choreographer back in college.
  • When her maternal grandfather died, her mother was cut off from his will along with her uncles and aunts. It gave validity to her mother’s claim that her grandfather was not interested with his children. Tony left all of his estate to his fifth wife who was younger than his oldest child. A lawsuit was filed by her Aunt Kelly who was Tony’s eldest child and her mom’s only sister from the same mother. Apparently, the will was changed a few months before Tony died. Jamie Lee chose not to say anything about it publicly.
