Marc visited the United States in 2007 for a countrywide qualification match. He met his future wife in a tavern called The Green Leafe Cafe in Williamsburg one day. Because of his first date with Audrey, Leishman said he stayed a little longer.

Audrey recovered from toxic shock syndrome in April 2015. She and Marc had no plans to have any more children. On July 7, 2017, Audrey gave birth to a daughter called Eva Florence Leishman. Eva is affectionately referred to by the couple as their “miracle baby.”

Audrey’s immune system is still compromised, but she has a more positive outlook on life than before. She devotes a lot of time and effort to increasing awareness about mental illness, women’s hygiene, and life-threatening disorders.
