Her father, Safdar Hussain, runs a bed-making business. Warsi received his schooling at Birkdale High School, Dewsbury College (now Kirklees College), and the University of Leeds. She worked for the Crown Prosecution Service and the Home Office Immigration Department after studying law at York College of Law (now the University of Law).

• She was given a Life Peerage on October 11, 2007, allowing her to sit in the House of Lords and  Conservative Party supporter. She was introduced in the House of Lords on October 15, 2007. Baroness Warsi of Dewsbury in West Yorkshire was bestowed upon her.

Husband & Marriage Life

When she was 15, she was presented with a number of males while on vacation with her extended family in Pakistan, and she chose her cousin Naeem from among them. They married in 1990 and have a daughter named Aamna. Naeem then denied that the marriage was pre-planned. They divorced in December 2007.

Warsi describes herself as a “northern working-class mum.” She is a member of the Carlton Club and an investor in Rupert’s Recipes Limited and Shire Bed Company.
