In the 2003-2004 season, he assisted Detroit Michigan in reaching the finals for the first time since 1990, and they went on to win the championship. Because he was signed by the Chicago Bulls in 2006, his career at Detroit Michigan came to an end in 2005-2006. The $60 million contract was supposed to last four years.
