On December 22, 1972, Morgan was born in Co-op City, New York City. He was taught rap scratching in his teens by local DJ Rob Lasky, also known as DJ All Might Scratch. Tigger is a citizen of the USA. He is also of African American ancestry. Morgan attended the University of Maryland, College Park, for his academic training. During his college years, he worked as an intern at WPGC 95.5 FM in Washington, D.C.
