Rapper Bow Wow and woman arrested in dispute in Atlanta

Following accusations of abuse from both parties, the rapper Bow Wow and a lady were both detained in Atlanta early on Saturday morning on battery charges, according to police.

According to a statement from an Atlanta police public affairs officer, Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, and the woman, Leslie Holden, “did receive visible minor injuries” during the altercation at the residence that was reported at around 4:15 a.m.

Police reported that each party accused the other of assault. Both parties were charged with violence because police were unable to identify who started the altercation, according to authorities.

According to officers, both were lodged at the Fulton County Jail. The rapper appears to have scratches on his face in booking images.

Online jail records show that Bow Wow was freed on Saturday and that the signature bonds for Holden and Bow Wow were both set at $8,000.

It wasn’t immediately known if Holden has legal representation, but the rapper’s lawyer told the Associated Press that two witnesses confirmed his version of what happened, showing that Holden was “without a doubt the principal aggressor.”
