The brothers were seen leaving with Brice Rhodes and two other teenage lads, according to the statements made by witnesses to the police.

The following day, authorities in the 4000 block of River Park Drive, east of Shawnee Park, found two dead bodies behind an abandoned home. Later, it was determined that those bodies belonged to Larry and Maurice.

According to the courier-journal, the two brothers were beaten to death and then it was clear to the authorities from the crime scene that they had been stabbed with sharp items. Additionally, the murderer made an attempt to burn their bodies.

Police Arrested Rhodes Two Days After The Dead Bodies Were Found

Police designated Brice Rhodes their top suspect as soon as the bodies were found. Anjuan Carter, one of the adolescent lads, was brought in by homicide investigators working the case, and they started questioning him about the murder.

Jacorey Taylor, the other adolescent guy who accompanied Rhodes, was also quickly taken into custody.
Anjuan and Jacorey both asserted throughout the interviews that Rhodes murdered the boys and coerced them into taking part and removing evidence from the crime scene.
