Brooks Darnell’s Personal History – Named After Brooks Robinson

On the other hand, while the star of Let’s Meet Again on Christmas Eve definitely keeps personal items closer to his vest, that doesn’t mean the handsome stud is completely mysterious.

To begin, Darnell was named after the baseball legend Brooks Robinson by his adoring father. His father was a huge fan of the Baltimore Orioles’ superstar. So, whenever someone inquires about the origin of his name, Brooks, who is also a photographer, has an interesting story to tell.

As the eldest son of his children, he grew up with two younger brothers in addition to the six-foot-tall actor family. And, from a young age, it was his mother who encouraged Brooks to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.

Not to mention, Darnell was discovered at the age of sixteen and immediately signed with his first modeling agency. Darnell hasn’t looked back since then. Brooks, on the other hand, was a football scholarship student at Indiana University studying pre-medicine.

While he did not finish his medical studies, he did complete his acting studies at the Conservatory Theater School in California. And, throughout his career, he has worked in Chicago, Toronto, and New York before settling in Hollywood.
