Bryce was also twice named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll in addition to being a member of the college sports communications academic all-district team. He played in all 13 games in his junior year, totaling 13 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks.

Bryce died on February 9, 2024, from a pulmonary embolism. Furman University officials said that Bryce, a senior from Acworth, fainted on the field following an early-morning workout at Paladin Stadium in February. After two days, he passed away suddenly.
