Early Years and Bio
Chad was born Chad James Ruhwedel on May 7, 1990, and was raised in San Diego, California, on Scripper’s Ranch. Ruhwedel posted a picture in 2014 congratulating his sister, Evan Ruhwedel, on her nuptials.
Ruhwedel participated in youth sports with the La Jolla Jaguara and the San Diego Junior Gulls. After that, he participated in the Los Angeles Kings U18 AAA team’s under-18 club. Chad played for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL after his junior year, earning him a hockey scholarship to UMass Lowell’s Division I program.
