For A Boy and His Soul, which premiered Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre, he got a Lucille Lortel Award. He received a Drama Desk Award nomination as well as a Drama League Award nomination.In Chicago, the longest-running Broadway revival, Domingo was cast as Billy Flynn by combining his talents with The Scottsboro Boys’ Kander and Ebb. Susan Stroman directed it on Broadway in the fall of 2010. In 2011, he received the Fred Astair Award for best main dancer on Broadway. He starred as Victor Strand in AMC’s post-apocalyptic zombie series Fear the Walking Dead. After the popularity of the first season, he was also offered a role in Season 2. He joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a member of the Actors branch. In the Director’s Guild of America, he directed episode 12 of season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead. He became the first actor in the world of The Walking Dead to direct an episode. In 2020, Domingo struck a deal with AMC Networks. He taught at the University of Texas in Austin, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and the O’Neil National Theater Institute, among other institutions.

Up Jumped Springtime, A Boy and His Soul, Wild With Happy, Dot, and other plays are examples of his work. Summer; The Donna Summer Musical premiered at La Jolla Playhouse in November 2017. He won the Hollywood Critics Association Award for the Imagen Award for best supporting actor in a limited series in 2021.
