After the jury said they were unable to decide on any of the charges, the judge in the Danny Masterson rape trial declared a hung jury on Wednesday.


“We are not even close to coming to a unanimous decision on any count, and are convinced this will not change,” the jurors wrote in a letter to Judge Charlaine Olmedo.

Former “That ’70s Show” star Masterson was accused of three counts of forcible rape stemming from incidents involving three women between 2001 and 2003. The charges carried a possible prison sentence ranging from 45 years to life.

After casting seven ballots over the previous two days, the jury foreman informed the judge that they were still divided on each charge. On Count 1, there were two guilty verdicts and ten not guilty verdicts, four guilty verdicts and eight not guilty verdicts, and five guilty verdicts and seven not guilty verdicts.
