Despite a lopsided loss, Davante Adams made NFL history tonight.
Overall, the Las Vegas Raiders have had a very bad season. But it was a historic moment for wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams surpassed 1,500 yards for the season in the fourth quarter of today’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He not only became the fifth WR-RB combination in history to have 1,500 yards and a touchdown in the same season, but he also made some personal history.
Adams is now the sixth player in NFL history to have 1,500-yard seasons in consecutive seasons. He is also only the 12th player in NFL history to have at least 1,500 yards in multiple seasons.
Granted, the 17th game makes it more likely that this milestone will be reached more frequently in the future. Nonetheless, it is a tremendous accomplishment for him.
WR Davante Adams has now surpassed 1,500 receiving yards on the season, becoming only the sixth player in NFL history to record two straight seasons of 1,500 receiving yards.
He is also one of only 12 players in NFL history with multiple 1,500-yard seasons.

Many people thought Davante Adams would struggle without the great Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball when he was traded to the Raiders after his storied career with the Green Bay Packers.
But Adams has proven his detractors wrong in a big way. Even if it hasn’t been enough to get the Raiders to the playoffs.
Adams is headed to his sixth straight Pro Bowl and will almost certainly be named All-Pro for the third year in a row.
