Early Life and Education

Dave Coulier was born David Alan Coulier on September 21, 1959, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, United States. Dave and Arlen Coulier are his parents. His father worked as a foreman, and his mother worked as an interior decorator. He was the third of the couple’s five children. Dave is a blend of French-Canadian, 1/4 Ashkenazi Jewish, and perhaps more ethnicities.

In 1977, he graduated from Harper Woods, Michigan’s Notre Dame High School, an all-boys Catholic school. He was a hockey lover who imitated his professors and played the piano in front of his friends, earning him a prize from the school’s specialists. In school, he and his friend Mark Cendrowski liked to write and perform drama chokes. When he used to play stand-up theater at Detroit’s Comedy Castle, he became friends with Tim Allen, a comedian. He enlisted at the University of Michigan for a short time after graduation. In his first year, he dropped out to pursue his dream of becoming a comic book artist.

Professional Life and Career

Dave Coulier moved to Los Angeles after graduating in 1977, hoping to make a name for himself as a performer. In a year, he rose through the ranks at the Comedy Store to become a general. He landed his first voice-over job at Hanna-Barbera Studios, where he submitted an independent parody painting along with his voice-over and was hired within seven days.

When he first started working as a voice-over artist, he decided to pursue a career in acting. He had a role in Cheech and Chong’s ‘Things Are Tough All Over,’ and he also had several minor roles in the TV show “Newhart,” as well as the opportunity to work as a stand-up comedian. From 1984 through 1986, he hosted Nickelodeon’s comedy drama arrangement ‘Crazy.’ Through this show, his signature catchphrase, “Cut it out,” became a fan favorite among viewers. Coulier landed the role of ‘Joey Gladstone’ in the ABC sitcom ‘Full House’ in 1987. He played the character from 1987 to 1995, when the show was cancelled. He also did voice work for ‘The Muppet Babies,’ ‘The Real Ghostbusters,’ ‘Scooby and Scrappy-Doo,’ ‘The Jetsons,’ ‘Impolite Dog and the Dweebs,’ “Confinement,” and ‘Youngster Titans,’ among others.

Coulier also appeared in CBS’s ‘George and Leo’ in 1997 and hosted shows including ‘America’s Funniest People’ and ‘Opportunity Knocks.’ He has appeared in films such as ‘The Thirteenth Year’ (1999), ‘The Even Stevens Movie’ (2003), and a Nickelodeon film called ‘Shredderman Rules’ (2007). His most memorable role was that of ‘Joey Gladstone’ in the ABC sitcom ‘Full House’ in 1987, alongside Bob Saget. It won him a lot of respect and gratitude for his efforts. From 1986 through 1991, he portrayed the characters of ‘Infant Animal,’ ‘Child Bunsen,’ ‘Bean Bunny,’ and ‘Uncle Statler and Waldorf’ on the animated series ‘The Muppet Babies,’ which was one of his most important roles as a voice-over artist.

Rumors and Controversies

Coulier revealed everything in his replies, from behind-the-scenes details about Full House to unsubstantiated Alanis Morissette rumors. He did, however, avoid a question regarding Jodie Sweetin’s boobs, but we’ll get to that later.
