Before retiring on June 28, 2021, Demaryius Thomas was an American wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons, predominantly with the Denver Broncos. He had previously played for the New York Jets, the New England Patriots, and the Houston Texans. Thomas was selected by The Sporting News for its first team of freshman All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and honorable mention for its freshman All-America squad. He was a redshirt freshman who missed the whole 2006 season. In the 33-3 victory over Notre Dame, he made his collegiate debut and had one reception for nine yards. In the Yellow Jackets’ fourth game against Virginia, he caught a 56-yard throw from Taylor Bennett for his first collegiate touchdown.
