Doug Kammerer, an NBC4 meteorologist, was born in Herndon, Virginia, on May 6, 1975. Doug has two brothers, Devin Kammerer and Dave Kammerer, and is the son of Douglas Kammerer Sr. and his wife.

Career As a Meteorologist

Doug, a competent and well-known weathercaster, began his career at NBC-WRC-TV in 2010, when he took over for Bob Ryan. He is currently the head meteorologist at WRC-TV, where he forecasts the weather on News4 at 4, 5, 6, and 11 a.m. weekdays. Before joining WRC-TV, he worked in Macon, Georgia, Jacksonville, Florida, Orlando, and Philadelphia.

He did, however, work as a meteorologist for seven years in Philadelphia at KYW-TV, The CW Philly, WCAU-TV, and WPHL-TV. In addition, the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has honoured him with five EMMY Awards.
