The police are most concerned about the death of young fashion designer and LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba.
Police have identified the body of a man found stuffed inside a metal box along the Kipkenyo-Kaptinga Road in Uasin Gishu County as LGBTQ+ activist Edwin Chiloba.
The body of Edwin Chiloba, a young fashion designer and LGBTQ activist, was discovered dumped by the side of the road near the town of Eldoret, and the Kenyan Police are now investigating his death.
Mr. Chiloba was well-known on the streets of Eldoret Town for frequently wearing women’s clothing and posting pictures on his official social media accounts.
His final Instagram post, published on December 29th, 2022, stated that he planned to expand his fashion business and collaborate with well-known companies in 2023.

What was the Cause of Death for Edwin Chiloba?
There is no known motive for the murder, according to a police spokesperson quoted in the Star newspaper.
Rights groups in Kenya, where gay sex is illegal, however, link it to his sexuality. According to one estimate, more than half of Kenya’s LGBTQ population has been assaulted.
The rights organization galck+ stated on Twitter that they couldn’t even describe how they felt as a community at the time.
While Kenya’s LGBTQ community mourns the activist’s death, police have begun an investigation into the brutal killing.
Chiloba is remembered on social media as a remarkable person and a legendary fashion designer.
LGBTQ Activist Was Found Murdered In Uasin Gishu
Chiloba declared last month on Instagram that he would advocate for all marginalized people, claiming firsthand experience with marginalization.
His body was discovered on Wednesday. A witness claims to have seen someone leaving a metal box by the side of the road in a car with no license plate. After being notified, the police went to open the box and discovered the body.
When police opened the box, they discovered the man’s disintegrating body dressed in women’s clothing. He was taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
A few months ago, Edwin Chiloba was attacked.
Unidentified assailants attacked Mr. Chiloba four months ago, according to Nairobi News, but he survived.
During the incident, people who were hostile to his LGBTQ lifestyle attacked and beat him up. Images obtained by Nairobi News following the incident show that he was injured, with a large cut on his lips and blood trickling down from the top of his face. His face was bruised and scraped, and his clothes were ripped and filthy.
Biubwa, an Instagram user, described how they tried to contact him to find out what had happened. But he said he would talk to them when he was ready in his response.
Only four months later, they brutally murdered him in the ugliest of ways. According to a post on the Instagram account Biubwa, and his heart is broken.
According to Biubwa, the deceased fought bravely for his rights. And his death was a significant loss to many of his supporters.
