In 38 games, he finished with 91 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 3 passes defensed, and 1 fumble recovery. Additionally, he was twice named an honorable mention for Pac-12 All-Academic distinction.
NFL Draft:
Ankou was not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, but he was able to sign a contract with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent. The Jacksonville Jaguars grabbed him off waivers after the Texans waived him. Ankou played in 11 games for the Jaguars between 2017 and 2019, recording 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
After being traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, he appeared in nine games and recorded one sack and fourteen tackles.
After leaving the Browns in 2020, he played for the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Falcons. In 2021, he was added to the Buffalo Bills practice squad, and in 2023, he was added to the active roster. He hasn’t appeared in any games for the Bills as of yet.
