Elise had been married to Michael for two years before he was killed in a car accident.

The couple met in Kabul in 2010 while Elise was there on a freelance assignment for the magazine Marie Claire.

Michael had gone to Kabul for his McChrystal piece.

The couple hit it off right away and began dating right away. They got engaged not long after they started dating. After six months of dating, Michael asked Elise to marry him, and she accepted.

The couple soon exchanged wedding vows in a low-key ceremony.

By 2011, the couple had married and were enjoying their time together. The couple remained together for two years before their relationship was overshadowed by the unavoidable.

Elise lost the love of her life, her husband, in a car accident in 2013. Michael died in a fiery car accident in June of the same year, at the age of 33.

On the 17th of June, a day before the accident, Michael sent a note to the BuzzFeed staff in which he asked the editors to be cautious because his friends were being interviewed by the F.B.I.

The next day, news broke that his Mercedes had crashed into a tree while he was driving at high speeds in Los Angeles. Elise was devastated by Michael’s death.

Despite the fact that Michael’s death was widely assumed to be a murder by his fans, Elise issued a statement stating that she believed there was no bad blood involved.
