The Canadian actress, who stands 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m) tall, has always wanted to be an actress. As a result, she began taking musical theatre and dance classes at an early age. She attended Vancouver Film School to pursue acting after graduating from high school.

In 2008, the 28-year-old made his acting debut in Nickelback’s song video, Never Gonna Be Alone. Emily was then cast in supporting roles in films such as Random Acts of Romance, Bacon and Eggs, and Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story. But, thanks to Arrow, 2015 became a watershed moment for Emily.
