He moved there Alaska to because he found the opportunity related Oil Pipeline but later didn’t find this opportunity as fruitful as he thought.

To get some more income for his family he again returned to Arkansas and started flying planes but this time along with it he started smuggling whiskey and then importing marijuana on his planes.

He then later started facing a problem with his gout that was making it impossible for him to fly a plane. And the only solution to flying planes with this disease is to intake cocaine as it was the perfect treatment for it at that time.

He started taking cocaine and in search of more cocaine he visited Miami, Florida in 1977. In Miami, he found himself in the station of drugs. From there he started smuggling drugs and cocaine.

But later there he was caught by the police and faced 20 years of imprisonment while living in Prison his fake suicide plan was born. After coming out of jail he met George Morales who connected Gary to Pablo Escobar and then they become good friends.

On September 18, 1977, Gary committed fake suicide making people believe that he is actually dead. He moved to Hawaii by changing his name from Gary to Lucas Noel Harmony and then started selling drugs.

But finally, he was captured after many years in November 1984 on behalf of smuggling drugs in the Escobar drug ring. At that time he was sent to 27 years of presentment as strong evidence was submitted against him in court.

After years Gary came out of Jail in 2011. These days he is living with his third wife and kids. He is still alive and spending his old age with family in Akron, Ohio, USD.
