Geno Smith and Irvin will compete in the NFL playoffs for the last NFC Wild Card spot.
It all came down to the very last play of the very last game of the regular season in 2022. It was Geno Smith, Bruce Irvin, and the hopes of the Seattle Seahawks to make the playoffs that “it” referred to.
Because Seattle defeated the Los Angeles Rams in a game that went into overtime on Sunday afternoon, the final game of the NFL regular season, which was played between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers, had the postseason ramifications that many people thought it would have.

The contest will take place on Saturday, January 14, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Fox is going to be the network that broadcasts it.
As a starting quarterback, Geno Smith will be making his debut appearance in the postseason for the very first time. Irvin is participating in the postseason for the first time since the year 2020, which was the season that marked the end of his stint with the Seahawks.

The former West Virginia University quarterback entered the record books of the Seahawks in the fourth quarter, when he became the owner of the record for the most passing yards in a single season (4,282) in the history of the team.
