American actor Grant Shaud was born in Evanston, Illinois, on February 27, 1961, and raised in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. Edward Shaud and Barbara Dougherty Shaud, who are both Irish Catholics, are the parents of Shaud.
In 1979, Shaud received his diploma from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. In 1983, he graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in journalism while participating in Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
