Samantha Hegseth and Pete Hegseth are the parents of Gunner Hegseth. Gunner is also the first child of a well-known figure such as Kitty Szekely. He was born in June of 2010, two months before his parents married.

Gunner is the oldest of three brothers and sisters born to the same parents. Brother Boone Hegseth (born August 2012) and brother Rex Hegseth (born in 2016) are his brothers. Gunner and his siblings attend Liberty Classical Academy in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, a private Christian school. Gunner’s father enjoys taking his children to various locations and shooting pictures with them.

Pete Hegseth, who is Gunner’s father?

Pete Brian Hegseth, a Fox News Channel contributor, was born on June 6, 1980. He is a former director of the political advocacy groups Vets For Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America, as well as an ex-Army National Guard commander.

In the Trump administration, he was also considering becoming the head of the US Department of Veteran Affairs. In January 2017, the primary veterans’ group chose David Shulkin instead of him.

Prior to that, he worked as an equity capital markets analyst at Bear and Sterns. He was also commissioned into the US Army as a reserve infantry officer. In 2004, he was assigned to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as an infantry platoon leader. After returning from Cuba, he served in Baghdad and Samarra.

He is the son of two stepmothers

After his father Pete’s first divorce with Meredith Schwarz, Gunner’s parents met. Through mutual connections, Pete met Gunner’s mother, Samantha. The couple was instantaneously attracted to each other and gradually fell in love. He met her at a time when he was struggling to move on from his first marriage.

Pete and Samantha married in Washington, D.C.’s St. John’s Episcopal Church in June 2010. Gunner, who was born before their marriage, and Boone and Rex, who were born after their marriage, were the couple’s three children.

Parents are no longer living together

When Gunner was seven years old, his parents split. Jennifer Cunningham Rauchet, a Fox producer, was suspected of having an affair with his father. Gunner’s mother was compelled to file for divorce in Minnesota in September 2017.

The claims were proven to be true, and the couple split. Pete and Jennifer’s daughter Gwen Hegseth was born one month after their divorce. Pete married Jennifer in August of this year.

Pete Axe incident with his father

Pete was part in a promotion campaign after joining FOX News. He was meant to hurl an axe at a target during the promotion. However, he completely missed the mark and hit West Point Band drummer Jeff.

Jeff was not seriously hurt by the axe, although he did get some minor injuries. The band was then informed that they were unaware of the axe throwing incident. According to The Washington Times, Jeff turned down FOX News’ offer to compensate for his injuries and then sued both FOX News and Pete.
