Early Life and Biography
On January 26, 1996, Hwang Hee-chan was born. Chuncheon, Gangwon, South Korea, is where he was born. Hwang was raised with his older sister, whose name is unknown, by his father, Hwang Won-kyung, and mother, Song Young-mi. He went to Pohang Jecheol Middle School and Singok Elementary School. Club Career of Hwang Hee-chan
- He started playing football in Singok Elementary School in Uijeongbu. In 2008, he scored the most goals in both Hwarangdaegi Tournament and Dongwon Youth Cup which were South Korean national youth competitions. He also scored 22 goals in Kanga Cup for the South Korea U12 team, which was the highest record in the history of the tournament. With outstanding performances in these competitions, he was awarded the grand prize of the Cha Bum-kun Football Award, given to the greatest youth footballers in South Korea.
- After graduating from Singok Elementary School, he entered Pohang Jecheol Middle School and started to play in the school’s football club, the Pohang Steelers U15 team.
