Jack McBrayer, an American actor, was born on March 27, 1973 in Georgia, United States. The 5 feet 10 inch (1.79m) tall actor grew up in Macon until the age of 15 before moving to Conyers. Jack recognized his interest in acting at a young age and decided to pursue his passion as a career.

From 1995 to 2002, he worked at The Second City and IO Theater in Chicago, where he met 30 Rock creator Tina Fey and prepared for his role on her show. McBrayer appeared in over 80 sketches on Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 2002 to 2004, frequently lampooning his own Southern upbringing by portraying stereotypical hillbilly characters. On August 10, 2007, and September 20, 2008, he appeared on Late Night as Kenneth Parcell from 30 Rock. “I thought you were above this now,” O’Brien said to him during his first appearance. Following O’Brien’s move to The Tonight Show, McBrayer reprised his role as Kenneth twice (November 24, 2009, and January 13, 2010).

He appeared on Conan O’Brien’s Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour in Eugene, Oregon, Universal City, California (on the Universal Studios lot where O’Brien taped Tonight), and Atlanta; McBrayer is from Macon, Georgia, which is southeast of Atlanta. In 2008, he appeared in Mariah Carey’s music video for “Touch My Body.” McBrayer claimed he accidentally hit Carey in the face with a Frisbee while filming the video.

More recently, he has appeared in Kia commercials alongside Los Angeles Clippers player Blake Griffin, and in 2013 he appeared in a Barnes & Noble commercial. The Jack and Triumph Show, McBrayer’s Adult Swim series, premiered in February 2015. McBrayer portrayed Penny’s older brother Randall in the season 10 premiere episode of The Big Bang Theory in September 2016.
