On February 22, 1980, Jacobs was born in the largest province of South Africa, the Northern Cape, in Carnarvon. In 2023, he will be 43 years old. The author was raised in a remote community in the semi-desert Karoo region of South Africa. He first fell in love with books while he was young and exposed to them. At the age of seven, he started to show off his writing abilities while he was in school. He has entered and taken part in multiple writer competitions. In 2018, he released a book called “A Good Night for Shooting Zombies.” A Good Night for Shooting Zombies, one of his books, also made into a movie and released in South Africa. A Good Day for Climbing Trees was also available in Italian. Both A Good Day for Climbing Trees and A Good Day for Shooting Zombies were nominated for the Carnegie Medal.
