Professionally known as Jaehyun, Jeong Jae-Hyun is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor. He is best known for being a member of the NCT boy group from South Korea, as well as NCT U and NCT 127. He debuted in April 2016 as a member of the rotational unit NCT U and joined the fixed unit NCT 127 in Seoul in July 2016. Jaehyun previously hosted Inkigayo from October 2019 to February 2021.

Jaehyun began his career casting into SM Entertainment in 2012, and on December 9, 2013, he made his public debut as a member of the pre-debut trainee unit SMROOKIES.
In 2014, he performed in the program “Exo 90:2014” with other NCT members, and in July 2015, he and his bandmate Ten took part in the Hope Basketball All-Star competition.
Additionally, in December 2015, he appeared in Disney Channel Korea’s “The Mickey Mouse Club” and performed “A Whole New World.” In April 2016, he made his debut with NCT, in the first sub-unit NCT U, with the singles “The 7th Sense” and “Without You.”

On July 10th, he made his debut as a member of the second sub-unit, NCT 127. In March 2017, he and fellow member Johnny joined the radio program NCT Night Night as DJs. In January 2018, when the single “Timeless” was made available as part of the SM Station initiative, he once more took part in the NCT U sub-unit. Later, in October 2019, he joined Minhyuk of Monsta X and Naeun of April as one of three MCs for SBS’ “Inkigayo.”

Jaehyun will make his acting debut in the upcoming KBS2 drama “Dear. M,” set to air in 2021, it was announced on September 4th, 2020. He has been announced to appear in the KakaoTV web series “Bungee Jumping of Their Own,” an adaptation of the 2001 South Korean film. However, KakaoTV reported the project’s cancellation on December 9 of the same year, in the midst of pre-production, due to problems with the LGBT theme raised by the author of the original movie.
